Walk-in shower panel or shower enclosure: which to choose?
What is a walk-in shower panel?
A walk-in shower panel is a single glass panel (sometimes two L-shaped) with no door. You step in from the side. The most popular option for modern bathrooms. Looks luxurious and is easy to clean.
What is a shower enclosure?
A shower enclosure is a closed structure with doors (hinged, sliding or folding). Water spray stays inside the enclosure and doesn't reach the rest of the bathroom.

When to choose a walk-in shower panel?
- Bathroom larger than 6 m²
- You want a sense of space
- You prefer minimalist design
- The bathroom has good drainage slope (water doesn't pool)
When to choose a shower enclosure?
- Bathroom smaller than 5 m²
- There are children (water splashing is a concern)
- You want maximum warmth (a closed space holds it longer)
- You need compactness (folding doors)
Choosing based on the bathroom layout
Our general recommendation: if you can, go for walk-in (looks better, easier to clean). If the bathroom is small or there are water-containment issues, choose a full enclosure with doors.
