Choosing the wrong shower enclosure is an expensive mistake — it affects bathroom function, appearance, and cleaning effort every day. This guide helps you choose confidently based on your bathroom dimensions, preferences, and budget.
Step 1: Measure Your Bathroom
Before choosing a type, you need to know your available shower zone. Common configurations: 80x80 cm minimum for a corner enclosure. 90x120 cm recommended for a walk-in panel (no door needed at 90 cm width). 90x90 cm standard for most sliding door units.

Step 2: Choose Your Enclosure Type
Walk-in shower panels — best for modern, minimalist bathrooms with adequate space. No door mechanism needed; easiest to clean. Requires bathroom layout that prevents water splashing. From €670 for a typical 900×2000 mm panel (Vilnius, installation included).
Sliding door enclosures — best for standard Lithuanian apartments where swinging door space is limited. Space-efficient. Slightly more maintenance on the track.
Corner enclosures (hinged door) — best for smaller bathrooms where a shower zone is defined in a corner. Most versatile option.
Step 3: Choose Glass Thickness
6 mm tempered glass — standard, suitable for most residential applications. 8 mm tempered glass — more rigid, better for larger panels or frameless designs. 10 mm tempered glass — for walk-in panels without side support, or commercial use. All glass must meet EN 12150 (tempered) or EN ISO 12543 (laminated VSG) standards.
Step 4: Clear vs Frosted Glass
Clear glass: maximum light transmission, easier to spot water spots (more cleaning), no privacy. Frosted (sandblasted): transmits diffused light, provides privacy, requires same cleaning routine as clear.
